Board members (except the Treasurer, who is selected by the other six board members) are elected to a two-year term by the current members during our Annual Membership Meeting in late August each year. Description: Hey there! 2024 marks my third season as a TSC board member. I serve the Board as President where I primarily focus on the pool’s technology solutions, including the implementation of our NEW website, NEW commercial-grade audio system, and NEW membership systems. When I’m not at the pool with my amazing partner in crime (Wife) and/or our 4 kids (5 including our pooch), you can likely find me at home woodworking, exploring the mountain wilderness around Gatlinburg, or out enjoying our kids’ sporting/band events. Description: Hi! My name is Mikala Ashcraft. This is my second official year on the board at Tamarack Swim Club serving as Board Secretary. I manage our memberships, serve as the contact person for pool rentals, and manage our Facebook page. I also help Dave with staffing (specifically front desk staffing). I’m the wife that Ian was talking about, so I spend most of my summer at the pool with him, our 4 kids and our pup, Sefi! Description: Hi! My name is Terry Townsend. This is my third year on the Board, and I serve as the Treasurer. While the Tamarack Swim Club treasurer does not initiate any expenditures, my role is to ensure proper recording of financial transactions, provide financial reporting to the Board, and the completion of IRS filings. I have a history of assisting other area not-for-profit organizations, implementing sound financial stewardship and controls. My wife and I have four boys and spend a good deal of our “free” time supporting the boys’ academic, athletic, and church related endeavors.
